The Mountain Milers had a full contingent at the Chino Valley Territorial Days 10K on Sat 8/30. When I locate the times, I will post them. The rest of this is from memory so forgive any miscues... Pete Mayer finished 13th overall and won his age class! Pete finished in 49:28. Ken Ekman finished 15th overall and won his age class in 50:04! Dan Munsell finished 22nd overall was 2nd in age class in 51:34! (after the race Dan said all he saw was my backside but that wasn't true - as all I was his backside for the first half of the race...) --- Steve Orth finished 29th overall and was 3rd in age class I believe! 55:17! Deb Cowell won her age class too finishing just behind Steve in 38th in 57:59! Jessica Leary was 55th in 1:03.48 fresh off of a return to training. She also finished in the top 3 of her age class and medaled! John Erickson finished top 3 in his age class and also medaled. Way to go John - 71st in 1:12.09! 6 of us are pictured with medals (John had to bail out) on the first page of the website thanks to Dan M. and will remain there probably forever! Many thanks as always to our resident photographer - Julie Munsell! And it was good to see Dan "Boston Marathon" Pemble - who didn't run but has returned to training. Dan P helped with the official timing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't have the detail yet but Steve Orth and Dan Munsell (84th and 85th of nearly 150 in 53:50!) returned to racing the next day, Sunday 8/31 in the 4.6 mile Jerome Hill Climb. Per Dan, it was a fun day --- Dan carried a camera and took a bunch of pics during the race! Ken
