From Dan Munsell... Team Swift Feet/Mountain Milers completed their 3rd Ragnar Relay (all 3 years!) 120th place, 5th in division, 30:55:00 A HUGE THANK YOU to Mike for backing this adventure (again) and all the
cool swag. The PI shirts and hats are AWESOME.
Thank yous to both drivers, Lorrie & Stephanie, having you along makes
it so much easier on us runners, you may never know, plus the added
bonus of one more person per van to suffer with.
I personally and publicly have to thank Heather for stepping up in the
last minute to fill Sarah's spot, thank you Heather.
Working with this group was so easy, you are all so much fun to hang out
with for a day or so.
I returned van 1 to it's owners Martin & Cindy Goss, what nice people.
Thank you so much!!! I think they are planning to keep the Ragnar sticker on it. I jokingly
asked what the van was doing next March 1st and was surprised when
Martin said he was already thinking about that. We may have next year's
van already, a little rough around the edges, but better than a minivan.
Van 1 was talking on the way home, as opposed the quiet brooding and
dirty looks that went on through the rest of the trip. The following
suggestions were brought up, feel free to add more.
No more bottled water, the empties are a hassle, bring your own sports
bottle and fill it from the water cooler. This is a greener solution also.
There are always HOT runs, mist spray bottles to help cool the runner as
they pass and we are checking on them.
Cool ties for around the neck, & frozen sponges for under the hat.
Perl Izumi has been so good to this team, use their "Run like an animal"
campaign as our theme.
