From the Heritage Zoo run, 5K and 10K on 4/8... Beautiful day to say the least. Jessica was our star, running 10K under an hour and then walking away with door prizes.
Well, ok, Jason actually won the door prize but gave it to Jessica because he really didn't want the pansy or the certificate to have his nails done. I am "down" with that move Jason! Jessica keeps improving if you haven't noticed. Way to go Jessica. Jason Miner ran a 45 minute 10K finishing 2nd in has age group behind "Drew the speed machine" who won the Whiskey Row marathon last year among other races...no shame there Jason. Steve Orth and Ken followed with lower 50's. Steve won his age class! Way to go Steve!! Steve is also getting into shape witness him dragging Ken up the last hill and then sprinting to the finish. Becky, Mike and Woody (who brought his son, Jim) ran very strong 5K's. Each of them finished 2nd in their age groups! Becky came directly to the race after working a 12 hour shift. NOW THAT IS DEDICATION! Nice run Becky! Way to go Mountain Milers! We be bad. But that's good!
